FAQs About Scrapbooking Storage

Scrapbooking is all about putting together lots of little pieces. However, it is hard to keep those tiny bits organized; it is no fun if you cannot find all of the parts that you need. At first, learning how to get organized may seem like a daunting task, but if you take your time and you know what to do, it is not too difficult.
- Q: What kind of storage do you need?
- A: First, make a quick assessment of what products you are organizing. If you have a lot of paper, try some paper drawers or boxes; if you are in need of better photo storage, look for some photo boxes and binders. File folders make a great way to store photos and paper. It is hard to store the little bits and pieces, so try a clear acrylic divided box. You can also store your supplies in a tackle box or tool box; these have lots of spots for different materials as well as a large bottom bin for larger tools.
- Q: How can you store your stamps?
- A: Traditional stamps are an especially difficult thing to store because they are large and do not come in regular sizes; thus, it is hard to see them in a box or a drawer. Try using acrylic "peel and stick" stamps; they take up much less room than traditional block stamps, and you can even store them in a binder and see all of them at a glance. Try storing traditional stamps on a ledge or picture rail; your stamps become decorative objects, and you can always find them.
